You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

If you are a business, these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Modifying this Agreement

We may modify this agreement, for example, to reflect changes to our terms for legal, regulatory, or security reasons. We will provide reasonable advance notice of any material modifications to this agreement and the opportunity to review these changes. However, changes addressing newly available features of the Service or changes made for legal reasons may be effective immediately. Changes will only apply going forward. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you should discontinue use of any of our email accounts associated with this domain.

NOTICE: During the pandemic updates to this site maybe irregular and information will not be accurate. Users are encouraged to confirm accuracy of website data before using website as we assume no responsibility due to the pandemic. 

Severance

If it turns out that a particular term of this agreement is not enforceable for any reason, this will not affect any other terms.

Assignment

We may transfer all or part of this agreement to an affiliate or, if we are sold, to a third party.

No Waiver

If you do not comply with this agreement and we do not take action immediately, this doesn’t mean that we are giving up any rights that we may have (such as the right to take action in the future).

Governing Law

If you live in the United Kingdom this agreement, and your relationship with us under this agreement will be governed by the laws of your country of residence, and legal proceedings may be brought in your local courts

You agree that the content of this website is owned by the company named at the bottom of the home page of this website. Your use of this site is subject to the following terms and conditions, in addition to others outlined in other parts of this site which would be deemed to have automatically been accepted by you each time you use this website. Icons, pictures or photos are not owned by SSG but by their respective registrants. 

Site ownership and management

You agree that the management company responsible for managing this website, for example, adding or deleting pages, adding news blogs, changing images, adding or removing events, adding new staff profiles, creating new functionality, adding video content, and adding/changing forms is indicated on the bottom right side of each web page as “powered by”.

We may collect and aggregate data from the information supplied by you to help us to understand our users as a group so that we can provide you with a better service. We may also share aggregate information with selected third parties, without disclosing individual names or identifying information. You are aware that we will process any data which you provide in completing the online registration or application forms and any further forms, assessments or personal details which you complete or provide to us when using this site in accordance with UK data protection legislation and the data protection acts of any country. Transfer outside the EEA

You agree that your personal information comprising your CV may be accessed through our database by third parties outside the Economic European Area ("EEA"). This could happen for instance if you apply for a vacancy where the employer is based outside the EEA, or due to your request that we process your application for employment, or for a franchise purchase, or if you order services from us which require processing which have to be conducted at one of our processing offices located in Canada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, or in the United States of America. By registering and using this site, you consent to this transfer.

Standard terms of business 

You agree that each employment assignment or placement arising as a result of an introduction made by us will be subject to our standard terms of business as they are applicable in the circumstances and amended from time to time. All prospective employers and clients for whom we arrange assignments or placements will be provided with a copy of our terms of business applicable to them upon request at or following registration. Separate terms and conditions also apply to the use of our recruiter site. 

Content rights 

You agree that the rights in material on this site are protected by international copyright, software and trademark laws, and you agree to use this site in a way which does not infringe these rights. You agree that you to copy material on this site only for your own private or domestic purposes. Copying, or reproducing for any commercial or business purposes is strictly prohibited. 

Payments for courses involving an employment sponsor must be made within 60 minutes of an invoice being sent to you.

Cancellation for full refund will be less a £25.00 registration admin fee will be deducted from fee total if course is cancelled within 14 days but only if course material is not accessed, retained, transferred to another email, copied, duplicated, or saved electronically. You lose your right to cancel if the 14 day period elapses, or if you retain, save, transfer, or use course merchandise. 

Upon receipt of your notice to cancel, we will send you a merchandise return authorization form, after which you must email merchandise back to us along with an e-signed non-retention of intellectual property (NRIP) affidavit.

Once payment is made course materials will be dispatched to you within 24 hours

You will be allowed up to 12 months to complete all course modules

You may submit modules to us for marking at any rate you wish, however we will only agree to mark one module per week.

You must achieve 60% to pass the course

All courses are preparatory in nature. To achieve certification, you must complete all course modules of the course. 

Once modules are successfully completed, you will be scheduled to attend an instructive webinar after which you will be required to write an essay on a selected topic for single unit accreditation. The full qualification is awarded when all 7 units are completed.

All topics are aligned with the Associate Level of the CIPD Profession Map so you can be sure that everything you learn will be useful, relevant, and respected at work. It consists of 3 core units, 3 specialist units (below) plus 1 optional unit, as shown below: -
